No Cost Basic Training


CERT Basic Training involves an instructor-led course consisting of 20 hours of instruction on topics such as Personal and Family Preparedness, Disaster Preparation, Team Organization, Medical Operations and Triage, Damage Assessment, Fire Suppression, Utility Control, and Light Search and Rescue.

Support Local Emergency Management


  • Actively support the Cary Fire Department in its education, outreach efforts, and when called upon during incidents.
  • Be a resource for local and state emergency management agencies in response to incidents outside of Cary.

  • Grow membership in Cary CERT Association.
  • Foster an atmosphere of fellowship and teamwork in support of emergency preparedness.
  • Serve as a catalyst in promoting development and growth of other CERT groups within Cary and statewide.
